Simple, continuous sleep sounds

No app or account required. Choose a sound, press play, and leave Continuous selected or set a timer. Audio repeats while playback is active. A timer starts when you press play and pauses when you pause the sound.

Choose your background sound

White noise has a steady, broad hiss. Rain has a softer, irregular patter, while ocean waves rise and fall. The 528Hz option offers a tonal sound. Choose whichever you find comfortable; this site does not claim that a particular frequency has healing or sleep benefits.

Make it part of a quiet routine

Choose your sound before settling down, turn your device volume down and press play. Increase it only as needed for comfortable listening. Continuous is selected by default; use a timer if you prefer playback to stop automatically.

Questions about playback

Will it play with my screen locked?

Playback may continue when your browser and device support background audio. Power-saving settings, calls or switching apps can interrupt it. Test your own device first; uninterrupted overnight playback is not guaranteed.

How does the timer work?

Choose 30 minutes, 1 hour or 3 hours. The countdown starts with playback and pauses when you pause. Changing the timer resets it. Changing sounds keeps your remaining time. Reloading the page resets the player.

Why can’t I hear anything?

Press play, then check your phone or computer’s volume and Bluetooth output. Some phones use their physical volume buttons instead of the on-page slider. Check your connection if an audio file cannot load.

Does this need an app or a subscription?

No. The player works in your browser without an account or subscription. Streaming the recordings uses internet data. The recordings repeat; a short gap may be audible at a repeat point on some devices.

Is the picture sleep advice?

No. It is a decorative illustration, not an example of a safe sleep space. See our safe listening page for guidance and links to The Lullaby Trust.
